Solarex
German Shepherd Dogs

Breeders of White & Long Coated German Shepherd's

Puppies

All of our puppies are whelped and reared in our busy family home, helping them to accustom to the usual noises in a household – TV, Hoovers, Radio, Washing Machine, Postman etc. We will even play fire work noises to them when they are very young to avoid the chance of them being afraid when they are older.

Our puppies are well socialised from day one with adults, children, cats and other small animals. When they are old enough our puppies are able to explore and play in the garden all day everyday. Puppies will be re-homed at 8 weeks old no earlier as we feel sooner than this can cause socialisation problems and anxiety.

All of our puppies will leave us with:

  • KC registered
  • Pedigree papers
  • Puppy contract
  • A copy of both parents health certificates i.e Hip and elbow scores and Haemophilia A test results
  • Care sheet and a feeding Guide
  • 2 weeks supply of their raw diet
  • First full vaccination
  • Micro-chipped
  • Fully wormed to date with ‘Drontal puppy wormer’
  • 6 weeks free insurance with ‘Petplan’
  • A lifetime of free support, help and advice
  • Chew toy

All Solarex puppies will be endorsed with the following:

‘R’ - Progeny not eligible for registration

‘X’ – Not eligible for export pedigree

All of our puppies won’t ever make Police dogs or Guard dogs, however will make an outstanding family pet which is Loyal, Trustworthy and forever Loving.

All of our puppies will only go to knowledgeable loving forever pet homes where they will be cared for and treasured for all their lives. We will consider raising breeding restrictions for responsible breeders.

If at any time your circumstances change and you are no longer able to care for a Solarex puppy or dog they must be returned to us in the first instance to ensure that no Solarex GSD ever ends up in a rescue kennel or even worse.

10 Commandments

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.

4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainments, but I have only you.

5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.

6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.

7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.

8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.

9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.

10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so much.

Breeder's Poem

A Breeder's Poem

I love my little puppy; she makes my house a home.
She is my very sweetest little friend; I never feel alone.
She makes me smile; She makes me laugh; She fills my heart with love . . .
Did some person breed her, or did she fall from above?

I've never been a breeder, never seen life through their eyes;
I hold my little puppy and just sit and criticize.
I've never known their anguish; I've never felt their pain,
the caring of their charges, through snow or wind or rain.

I've never waited the whole night through for babies to be born,
The stress and trepidation when they're still not there by morn.
The  weight of responsibility for this body in my hands,
This darling little baby, who weighs but 60 grams.

Should you do that instead of this . . . or maybe that was wrong?
Alone you fight and hope, one day, he'll grow up proud and strong.
You pray he'll live to bring great joy to someone else's home.
You know it's all just up to you; you'll fight this fight alone.

Formula, bottles, heating pads, you've got to get this right,
two-hour feedings for this tiny guy, throughout the day and night.
Within your heart you dread that you will surely lose this fight,
To save this little baby, but God willing . . . you just MIGHT.

Day one; he's in there fighting; you say a silent prayer.
Day two & three, he's doing well, with lots of love and care.
Day four & five . . . he's still alive; your hopes soar to the heavens.
Day six he slips away again, dies in your hands, day seven.

You take this little angel, and bury him alone.
With aching heart and burning tears, and an exhausted groan,
You ask yourself, "Why do this? . . . Why suffer through this pain?"
Yet watch the joy your puppies bring, and everything's explained.

So, when you think of breeders and label them with "Greed,"
Think of all that they endure to fill another's need.
For when you buy your puppy, with your precious pounds you part,
You only pay with money . . . while they pay with their heart.
